We designed and implemented a Conduct Risk Framework and Governance model to embed compliant working practices and measure culture and conduct.
WhartonBC allowed us to identify ways to gain efficiencies and improve management and governance standards. What stood out was their ability to adapt to the organisation and really understand us.
Richard Fielder, Head of Compliance
We supported this client by:
- Designing and executing a Conduct Risk Assessment, involving over 60 stakeholders from across the Bank to define core conduct risks, agree both inherent and residual risk ratings and map key controls
- We also supported the implementation of a full risk assessment cycle, developing KPI dashboards to report on key metrics;
- Designing and implementing a Conduct & Culture Governance model to enable monthly monitoring and reporting of risk exposure with quarterly escalation to the Executive Team and Board;
- Designing and delivering a multi-channel training and communications programme across UK, Asia and US. This informed and engaged over 1100 people on what conduct risk means in the context of their function and role by using scenario-based learning.
In addition, we provided subject matter expertise to the definition of the culture framework and initiatives. We also identified aspirational as well as available risk metrics to allow the bank to work towards better culture and conduct Management Information.
