Case study

Integrated two cultures to drive performance for a global mining company

Summary

A global Mining company acquired a new business to diversify its services, support sustainability efforts, and tap into the growing agricultural market. This created several culture integration challenges as they had very different core values and ways of working without a cohesive identity, and the uncertainty during and after the acquisition led to low staff morale.

Our work led to three key outcomes:

  1. A clear articulation of the existing culture and shifts required, bought to life through a visual and written narrative.
  2. The leadership team engaged and aligned on a shared vision statement which underpinned the parent company’s purpose.
  3. An achievable embedding plan to move the culture forwards and mobilise the leadership team to lead the culture change in support of business performance.

It was great to partner on this culture transformation. It enabled us to gain a clear understanding of our strengths and areas for improvement, aligned our leadership team around a shared vision that supported our parent company’s purpose, and practical steps to move forward and energise our team
